When I first read the description of this course (CSC165) I
was intrigued. Coming from the IB programme, I thought I could easily relate
this course to some of my IB classes. First week was fairly straight forward; I
think it is great that a similar topic with a more mathematical approach is
being taught in MAT137 while the more logical approach is being taught in this
class. The second week of class was a bit more challenging but it wasn’t something
I couldn’t manage. I felt a bit uncomfortable accepting some of the claims
(example: if false then false = true) but after giving it some thought it
finally made sense. I found the tutorial and the quiz fairly easy but I know that the course will get progressively harder. Overall I really enjoyed the first 2 weeks of 165 and I look forward to future topics.
